Attached are some pictures of another fila that is in a local shelter that I am trying to help. She is a 3 year old fawn female, spayed. Her name is Bailey. I have seen her interract with a shelter staff member that has been able to befriend her, and I think she is highly adoptable but should go to a fila savvy home. when I read her profile, all of her "faults" are pretty typical fila behavior, but the breeder did not educate them when they bought her, and her barking and growling at neighbor kids running through the yard signed her death warrant, but a friend of mine pulled her and contacted me to evaluate her. I think she is a nice girl.

Lucy is a 2 yr old spayed female Fila Brasileiro. She is brindle in color, and a very pretty girl. She is in the SW Washington Humane Society shelter. She is able to be handled by workers at the shelter, and able to be touched by me when I visited. She is affectionate to those she knows, and when I visited her at the shelter, she appeared to want to approach other dogs in a playful, non-aggressive manner. She is mildly stand-offish, but not aggressive. My son and I were both able to pet her when we visited her. She loves beef jerky, and the staff at the shelter have taught her a few tricks that she is proud to perform.

This is what I have for Troll:

Patrol is a 3 year old non-neutered male Fila. He is brindle in color. He moves with a limp in the hind quarters, which our vet has said is an old injury, possibly hit by a car. He gets along well with female dogs, but is aggressive with other males. He seems to prefer women over men, but is of mild temperament, and easy to handle. He tolerates grooming well. He gets along well with our house cats, but doesn't seem to like feral cats or strays. He is a big boy, and loves to be in the company of "his human". He likes to be in the house, but tends to mark if not watched. He has had his rabies vaccine. He rides well in the car, and is working on his leash manners.

two female filas for adoption

It's with a heavy heart I post this, but I have my two 2 year old sisters that I must find a home for do to losing my job and house. The girls are healthy and easy going filas. They except strangers after time and are loving. Please call me if you can help 410 988-7425. Thanks, Lee

Urgent Black Male Fila needing new home Mansfield, TX

"I have a 6 yr old neutered male Fila named Boone aka Boonedocks (we have had since he was a baby). My family & I are relocating to Europe and unable to take him or our other large dog. Please help me find a home for this amazing boy.

He is socialized, lives with a female dog, cat, child, male human & me. He is healthy at 150 lbs and current on shots. I have attached a picture of him from this past fall after our mobile dog groomer gave him his bath (yes, he climbs up in the van for her and loves the attention)."

"I am the owner of Boone.The breeder is Bob out of Lancaster. Boone is 6 yrs old, black, socialized and just a well mannered Fila. I will attach another photo for you. Our time frame is about 3 weeks to find him and our other other dog a home. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at his easy going temperment.
