Howdy Dawna,

 Thanks,

Hello Dawna
here is a pic of Allie and my grand daughter ,allie is 10 months , she is a great dog and thinks the grand kids belong to her.
is that a good looking Fila dog or what

Hi Dawna,
Just wanted to say hi and send you a few new pics of the boys. Kris is
such a joy and we really love him. He has fit into our family beautifully.
And he's getting SO BIG! At 5 months old, he's 70lbs. And what a love. Matty
has even taken him under his wing. Showing him how to guard dog and protect
his home.
Hope all is well with you.
Take care,
Felicia Crandell

Hi Dawna,
Jeff and I just wanted to share some new pictures with you.  We just had Scotch weighed this morning at the vet (needed more heartworm medication) and he weighs 160!(Before breakfast!) We couldn't believe it since we haven't had him weighed in months.  He is 10.5 months now and is a beautiful, healthy dog.
We have been vigilant with our stricter training and obedience and have seen a positive change.  Just like humans it doesn't change overnight.  We are still working on 'excitable' situations like at the kennel or around family.
Take Care,
Linda

Dawna,
Hope all is well, and that things are going good.  Please find picture of Tami and Watcher (who is fast aproaching 9yrs. old) attached.  All the Management team had a picture taken with one of thier pets for her Company's Web site.  Watcher, always the Fila was not to happy with the  photographer doing Tami's hair and makeup.   Tami wound up doing it herself! Watcher was happy when the whole thing was over!  Also attached a link about spay/neuter in Stockton, CA.  Seems to me after reading it that (as we all know already) Cat's are the real Pet over-population problem. Anyway,Take Care Sincerely
Ron

These two pics are of Sadie (Black Fila) with my 8 yr old Mitchell on the floor and Diesel (AKA-- Deesey Weesey) with my 6 yr old laying on the couch both are wicked couch potatos, getting huge & great w/ the kids and love being inside.  I don’t think they will be outside dogs. They still are getting along great w/ my old Lab & my pain in the ass Mini Schnauzer even when feeding. They are not food aggressive and do not mind sharing. It is Toby (Mini S) who sometimes has the problem as he will growl till I swat him and put him in his coup. Just bought training collars as they took off on my wife while I was on a hunting trip. Sadie went for 30 minutes in the woods. With the collars and a few minor corrections on Sadie they are both behaving well. The collar seems to work great and was reasonable @$209 ea. They are not loose alone ever and when I am with them and they stay within 50 ft of me anyway but for my wife they beat feet on her. I am having them weighed today but am guessing Sadie to be about 85-90lbs and Diesel around 80 lbs. Both are very healthy and love much attention. I hafta say they were made to go in the other room because of loud snoring during the Patriots game Sunday..

Hope all is well,

Rich Carroll

Dawna,

He is a handful. He wants to play 24/7 and gets carried away instantly. He is constantly hurting his mom by mistake. He plows through everyone accept me. He is starting to listen more, and he is almost completely house broken accept for an accident now and then. He is showing potential as a fila and is VERY aggressive to everyone. When I walk in and he is with her or by her; he charges me until he sees it is me. He is a bite first and ask questions later type of dog. It does not seem to be fear biting, as he listens about biting our boys when they visit. They as well as everyone else, are afraid of him. Bear was friends with most people, but Saber has no use for anyone but mom and dad. We bought him a huge cage; I call it the penthouse. We must put him in there when anybody comes inside. I put signs up all over the place and even got signs with the Fila profile on them and one says: Stop! Fila Brasiliero in house, and has a picture of a fila on it. He is all business with strangers and is not interested in friendships. He tolerates our kids but cant wait for them to leave. One thing I can say, he is so much more affectionate than Bear was. He loves to be hugged and he kisses back all the time. He practically climbs in her lap most of the time. We believe he will turn out typical of a Fila and be the best dog of all. Anyway, I will keep in touch and send more photos. ….  Steve

Dawna,

You are welcome to use any of my emails to post. Saber is the textbook Fila Brasiliero as far as temperament. He is with out a doubt the most protective dog anybody could ask for. He is definitely willful. He wants to please but has to deal with the urge to go nuts. So “no” is a big part of what he hears most of the time. This guy is so funny though. He wants my coffee in the morning, so Janice puts some water in a coffee cup and pours it in his bowl and he goes crazy drinking it like it’s a chocolate shake or something.

As for the intruder, I pity them. This one is not like Bear was. Bear would give a break to someone when they enter, but Saber is out for blood. No holds barred. He is going to attack without provocation. He will not accept food from anyone but his master. He cannot be coerced with food either, as he is too upset when he is in that posture. He has not been brought out yet and I don’t believe we will bring him out as his temperament is too aggressive to begin with. This is the Fila I read about in the breed description. No socializing this one.

I will keep in touch and give you a progress report. Remember, he is only 8 months old and weighs about 140 pounds. He is not looking as big as Bear, but it is too soon. His paws were small last week and this week they look twice the size. So I am not guessing. Bear was every bit of 200 pounds plus and I hope this guy gets close. It is very intimidating to approach a dog that weighs more than you do. Bear would literally knock people down by jumping up to greet them and his paws were on their shoulders. Take care….Steve

Hi Dawna,

Hi Dawna,

I just wanted to share a few photos of my Fila, Dakota who was born March 10, 1999.  I can't believe she is going to be 9 years old!  She is a wonderful dog!!

I hope you enjoy the photos!

Thanks for a great job on your dogs!

Kathy McMurry

Here's a recent pic of the little guy.  You can see Samson's head off to the side.  He's not too interested in him.
Sorry the picture is so huge.  I can't figure out how to shrink them.
Isn't he so cute!  He is so not like Samson.  He is very much a Fila.  We expected him to follow the lead of the
other three dogs, but he doesn't.  He's also very pushy.  From the time we first brought him home, when Shiloh
and Tuko would play, he would hightail it over there and try to get right in the middle of it.  Sometimes we just have to
stand back and let Shiloh discipline him.  He still doesn't learn, though.
