Hi Dawna,
Just wanted to touch base with you and let you
know how we are doing with Thunder...We love him SOOO much!! He's really
smart---we've only had three accidents in the house, and he will let you
know he has to go out---sometimes it gets lost in translation, but he's
doing great. He now goes up and down the stairs like a champ---he thinks
he's a big dog now. :):)
He's already showing signs of being
protective...Gar came up the stairs and caught him by surprise---he moved in
front of me and started barking at him. It was kinda cute. As soon as he
realized it was Gar he ran to him and started licking him.
Thunder was a bit stand offish with the vet---he
didn't really want her approaching him, but in a few minutes he decided that
if she was OK with us, she was OK with him. We have a few territory issues
to work out---he doesn't like our female approaching me at all---to her
credit she hasn't taken his head off for any of the personal space issues he
doesn't have with her. Including sticking his head in her bowl while she is
trying to eat. Or jumping on her and biting her tail while she is trying to
sleep. She's curled her lip up a few times, but she is really good with him
and will even play with him outside for a minute or two. They're still
trying to work things out with each other---but its coming along nicely.
Here is a picture of him after a long day...I
remember reading how they shouldn't be housed outdoors, that sleeping
indoors is preferable...not sure this is what you had in mind though! LOL
dawna, how are you? well here she is.......92lbs at 8 months old, very full of life and a joy to be around. she is very protective and sweet. she has a very loving personality and is always by my side.i tried to get good pictures for you but she is never still for long. i sent one pic to you with my other fila from you (he is now almost 5 years old)still a great dog. thank you for both of them . peter b.
Dawna,
I just wanted you to know how much we are
enjoying our new girl. She fits right in with all the other critters.
We think she gets prettier every day. I hope
you enjoy these few photos( We only have about 50 more!)
She is already becoming a protective girl. I
hope things are going well for you, and I hope you have lots of good
adoptions.
Sincerely,
Here are two pics of Thunder and Gar. The first was taken on 10-17-04, and
I’ll send you a better picture as he grows up, from the side so you can see his shape! His 6 month Birthdad, Sinbad was 101 lbs. His dad was 160. Does that 6 month weight reflect a size??? Does it work that way? Thanks so much for crate info. I have one on order! Thank you for selling one of yours to a neighbor. We’re great parents! Trish
i thought you would like a pic. of one of your finest dogs. eric
