Subject: Madison is perfect!!
Sorry, I haven't written in so long but I just had to brag on
your dog Madison. (We bought Madison from you in April 2000 and Madison
was two years old this past January.) She is a big red beautiful dog.
Madison has always had the best temperament. She acts protective when
someone comes up to the house but we say it is ok, it is ok with her. She
is sweet to the cat and the old beagle.
Today I made an appointment with the vet to get her annual shots and
expected to go right in and right out. Madison is a big girl at 140 lbs.
and I don't like to have such a big dog around lots of people. Well, today
things didn't work out as I planned. There was an emergency and lots of
unexpected people showed up all at once with kids, cats, puppies, Boxers,
Pit Bull, Jack Russells; you name it--they were all there. We were all
packed in a small waiting room for 40 minutes--my worst nightmare. I
should have left and made another appointment but they kept saying
"it won't long now...." But Madison was perfect! She got up on
the scales and sat down while they weighed her and when I said "no
sniff", she politely turned her head away from other lunging dogs.
(It took 3 people to weight an uncooperative Boxer.) She laid right at my
feet and let two strange little children feed her treats. Everyone
commented on what a well mannered dog she was. I was so proud. But you
deserve all the credit because your breeding is so good. Yes, I did
socialize Madison well and took her to obedience classes. But a dog has to
have good genetics to behave the way Madison did today during all that
turmoil. She acted like it was the most boring thing she had ever seen.
Thank you so much---your breeding is the best!!
Best Regards, K.Theresa

I'd like to announce that Feo
has passed his Urban Search Certification with flying colors!! He
found his "lost person" in record time (16 minutes!! Test allows
for 1 hour.) I am extremely proud of both him and

Hello Dawna,
I'm just too used to keeping in touch with you, I feel like I owe you
an e-mail! We are so very happy with our puppy! I
can't begin to tell you how special he is. Everyone that meets him is
totally taken, I have two cousins that already have asked me for
information about you and how to get a fila dog. My one cousin
has always had dogs and now has a rotttie and shepard and she is so impressed. She
says she has never seen such a intelligent, loving, well bred puppy.
This puppy has learned so quickly. I have set up training
lessons with Bob Wyman over the e-mail. He has had plenty of
good advise. I'm afraid we are still guilty of smothering the
puppy with affection but he is also so loving in return. He has
never expressed any other signs of aggression of any kind to us. I
think the first few days were just very traumatic for him. He
is however incredibly brave and confident.
He is an avid guard dog at 9 weeks of age! The meter man and
our one neighbor were immediately warned to stay away. He has
been totally calm in any situation. Target practice, fireworks,
dirt bikes, are no concern to him at all. My
brother's 85lb lab dog has been visiting us. Puppy has been
having lots of fun playing with him, but the grown adult male has learned
not to touch puppy's favorite chew toys and bone!
Yesterday the lab was jumping up on me and I was telling him
"No" and "get
down" Puppy heard and came running over mad as hell
and bit into the dog's
leg, snarling and barking! That is no exaggeration.
This puppy follows me every where and is just adoring to all of us. He is
more beautiful than ever. His coat has perfect stripes and is
glossy. His confirmation is elegant with long legs and a broad
chest. His hind quarters sit up high and he is becoming more
agile everyday. His face is proud and calm and when he looks at you his
expression is all devotion. Can you tell how happy we are yet?
Thank You so much for being such an honest, caring, responsible, breeder
of such wonderful dogs.

Subject: Babe from Montana
Hi Dawna,
I just wanted to thank you again for such a great dog. Babe is from the
Reeba -Kinzer litter. I was the guy who drove out from Montana to get her.
She has exceeded our expectations. She has such a gentle disposition
around my family. I own an Assisted Living facility and she is the best
dog for that place. It took her a couple of weeks to get used to the place
and the people and now it's her second home. She is so gentle with the
residents. She did scare a few visitors to death a couple of times until
she learned that this is a place that strangers can enter. What impresses
me most is that she is able to determine when strangers are OK. I worked
very hard to socialize her to all kinds of people and situations. She will
sit at ball games with me and welcome unknown visitors once greeted by me.
But she deffinitely has the Fila attitude in the right circumstances. My
wife feels VERY safe when I am gone thanks to Babe. The only thing that
has me concerned is HOW BIG IS THIS DOG GONNA BE? She is 7 months and is
27'' I don't even want to weigh her but she's gotta be pushin 100Lbs. I
remember you telling me that she would be a larger Fila but I had no idea!
I will send some pictures. I seriously want to know what you think of her
growth. Anyway, thanks again.
Greg
