While the Tularosa village council postponed voting on the future
Dangerous Dog Act, there was discussion last week, according to village
clerk Diana Brusuelas, on the dog issue at a village workshop.
"It was decided a future act, which is now only an ordinance,
will most likely require the owners of dangerous dogs to carry
liability insurance," Brusuelas said.
"And rather than name specific breeds, the
act will specify that 'dangerous dogs' be determined by the
nature or disposition of each dog as an individual."
