Balt. Co. Lawmaker Proposes Pit Bull Restrictions

(AP) TOWSON, Md. A Baltimore County lawmaker is proposing significant restrictions on pit bulls. Councilman Vince Gardina says the legislation was prompted by attacks this year that have left one dog dead and two boys seriously injured.

The Perry Hall Democrat says the bill would require pit bulls to be kept in wire-mesh enclosures and muzzled when in public.

Gardina says any dog can be raised poorly, but pit bulls are stronger and have a greater bite.
