Coeur D'Alene, Idaho - BSL on the table AGAIN
N. Idaho city looks at new rules for
dangerous dogs
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - Officials in the northern Idaho city of Coeur
d'Alene are considering 22 possible changes in the city's dangerous dog
rules.
The move comes after a number of incidents, including one last week where
police shot 1 of 2 pit bulls that forced a man into a tree.
Possible new rules include banning 11 breeds
of dogs and limiting the number of "dangerous breeds" living in one house.
Other options include requiring dogs that have bitten someone get training
along with their owners.
Deputy City Attorney Warren Wilson says the city is taking comments and he
hopes to get them in time for the city council meeting in September.
