We thank you
for your support in these difficult times. We are attempting to make this draconian legislation known world-wide, particulalry since the Ontario government has clearly stated that it applies to tourists with dogs. To inform people about this legislation and the probability of seizure of a tourist's dog, there is a text form of tourism alert at the bottom of this message and an attached brochure concerning the legislation. We ask that you send the tourism alert text and brochure to all your contacts, and ask them to post the text and brochure to all their contacts. We hope that knowing about the legislation will save an unwary tourist from the agony of losing a beloved family pet to Ontario's Bill 132. We would also be very grateful if you would send the text of your original message to newspapers in major centres in Ontario, to the Premier and the Attorney General of the province, and to our supporters in the opposition parties. The major newspaper e-mail addresses are: lettertoed@thestar.ca - Toronto Star editor@tor.sunpub.com - Toronto Sun letters@globeandmail.ca - Globe and Mail oped@ott.sunpub.com - Ottawa Sun letters@thecitizen.canwest.com - Ottawa Citizen letters@thestar.canwest.com - Windsor Star letters@lfpress.com - London Free Press Dalton.McGuinty@premier.gov.on.ca - Premier Dalton McGuinty mbryant.mpp@liberal.ola.org, mbryant.mpp.co@liberal.ola.org, michael.bryant@jus.gov.on.ca - Attorney General Michael Bryant marilyn_churley-mpp@ontla.ola.org, hhampton-qp@ndp.on.ca, tim_hudak@ontla.ola.org, pkormos-qp@ndp.on.ca, joe_tascona@ontla.ola.org - Vocal opponents of Bill 132 Please feel free to send this message and information to all your contacts. We would be truly delighted to have the Ontario government and the newspapers understand that this legislation is condemned internationally.
