The commission plans to finalize several changes to Chapter 6 of the city code dealing with dangerous dogs. Second reading of the ordinance approved last week by the commission.

Also, wolf hybrids would not be allowed in the city. The German Shepherd has been added to the city's list of potentially dangerous dogs, as have five other breeds. Additionally, if a dog has been declared dangerous by a judge, the owners must meet specific ownership requirements, such as purchasing liability insurance, keeping the animal confined in a certain type of outdoor enclosure, and having it micro-chipped and photographed for identification purposes.

The commission's legislative meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
